feedstock for the manufacture of fluoride-based macromolecule compounds.

    This is my very first video in which I show how to make N2O (laughing gas) via the reaction of Ammonium chloride (NH4Cl) and Sodium nitrate (NaNO3).
    It’s not the best method, even I could say that it’s the worst, because when NH4Cl is heated it decomposes to NH3 and HCl and these two gases hardly react back because of the N2O and the other nitrogen oxides (NO and NO2). It’s not recommended to inhale.
    I bubbled the produced nitrogen oxides through water in order to at least get rid of NO2 which is the most dangerous nitrogen oxide.
    To get rid of NO and NO2 you have to bubble them through a solution of FeSO4.

    The best method of producing N2O is by heating ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3), but it’s a slightly dangerous process because when NH4NO3 is heated to 200 degrees C it decomposes/explodes.
    (Yeah, I know it’s such an amateur video :P )
